In class we are watching the movie pride it is about a man that goes and gets a job in the ghetto. His job is to pack up the rec center. He then discovers a pool. When he discovers the pool he then invites some kids to swim. After they start swimming they want to become a swim team. When they have their first meet they are disrespected by the white people. Afterwards they get a speech about being a team. Then two of the kids get in trouble with "The Boss." That is where we are in the movie. I really like this movie but at some moments I get mad about it and sometimes I just feel bad for the boys. In the movie they were treating them badly because of the color of their skin. Then the boys went to the finals and won first place and got some respect from the other teams.
The way I feel about how people treated them is they were not giving them the respect they deserve they are human beings too. The way they were treating them was terrible they were giving them weird looks, lying to them about being sick to not have to swim in their pool.
